Genuine, curious, and collaborative, Stefan’s personal quest is to understand as many processes and experiences as possible. He brings an excellent combination of design, project management and technical skills to the team. His passion for speed, motion and the outdoors drives his love of skiing, hiking, sailing, motorbikes and travel. He is fascinated by the emotional impact of architecture on people.

His broad spectrum of experience and passion for the quality of design and craftsmanship, his strong technical, leadership and communication skills enable him to contribute significantly to the quality of the built environment. Stefan has been team leader on many residential, commercial, recreational and institutional projects over the course of his career. He is looking to push the environmental responsibility standards beyond LEED, exploring Living Building Challenge, Swiss Minergie-Eco Label and Passive House Standard, with the intent to be carbon neutral or better in the near future. At Francl Architecture Inc., Stefan’s leadership has been instrumental in projects such as Trout Lake Ice Rink & Community Centre, Jameson House, Northwest at Cambie & Marine, the Prescott in North Vancouver, the Airside Operations Centre at YVR and many others.
