Located at the main entrance to the UBC campus, this large-scale library expansion acts as a gateway to Vancouver’s post-secondary quarter. Completed in 2009, the project accommodates the college’s increasing student population by providing additional space for a growing book, periodical and media collection as well as new designated study areas. The project has natural ventilation and air conditioning incorporated into an iconic public art piece on the front grounds.
The project was designed in collaboration with Grout McTavish Architects.
