Located on the campus of the University of British Columbia on Vancouver’s West Side, this college building completed in 2005 includes academic and administration functions, dormitory units and apartments. The project consolidated a variety of functions while preserving established landscape elements. The building engages the streetscape along its west side with a long, naturally-canopied, cross-campus walkway, which also provides excellent light for interior spaces. The project has a peaceful, contemplative quality that speaks to the spiritual nature of the college.
