Located in between the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn, Trauma and Plastics Unit at the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), and BC Children’s Hospital, the Burn Fund Centre is the new home-away-from-home for Burn Survivors and their families. The idea for this project that has been around for over 10 years (the idea started in 1978) and Francl Architecture has been honoured in helping this dream become a reality.
The Centre’s land was donated by the City of Vancouver and ground breaking occurred mid-September 2014. Construction started November 2014 and completed this past December 2015.
The grand opening will be on March 18th, 2016.
