Inferential, disciplined and resourceful, Christopher has a tenacious determination to make something out of nothing against all odds. His love of seeing a final product come to fruition and take on a life of its own is apparent through his work as an architect and his hobbies of carpentry and photography. Working as an architect in South Africa for over 8 years, Chris has experience with a variety of building typologies varying in complexity and scale, from fire stations to offices to bush lodges.
Chris’ favourite design object is an origami koi. The transformation of a flat piece of paper into a three dimensional object combines science, math, symmetry and composition. A unique exercise in spatial reasoning requiring patience and dedication. An art form taught and passed on.
