Passionate, problem-solver, and a great policy enthusiast, Alyssa is inspired by how effective design can improve the quality of day-to-day activities. Bringing together her diverse educational and professional background in geography, political science, urban design, and construction administration, Alyssa enjoys navigating the diverse worlds of urban planning policy, development, and design. Her hobbies include volunteering with Girl Guides of Canada, hiking, ballet, yoga, and acquiring late fees from checking out too many library books at one time.
Alyssa adores the simple and recognizable design of the NYCTA graphic standards and how they subconsciously changed the way we navigate transit systems. These signs are used thousands of times each day to help riders navigate through New York City.
