Creative, forward-thinking, and sustainability focused, Carlos is an architect from Colombia and a technologist based in Canada. He sees architecture as a chance to enhance existing conditions through thoughtful, site-specific design. Carlos prioritizes core design principles and strong compositional ideas, while also working to reduce the environmental impact of buildings from the earliest stages of a project. He is committed to respecting the culture and local communities that live or have lived around each site, ensuring his work responds meaningfully to its context. His experience lies within a multitude of typologies, from residential, institutional, and infrastructure projects. Outside of work, Carlos loves being outdoors and enjoys both winter and summer sports. His favourite places in the world are Jasper and Banff — he’s passionate about the nature, wildlife, and stunning Canadian landscapes. He also loves BBQs and grilling as part of his South American culture, enjoying cooking and eating with friends and colleagues with great music in the background.
